My First Day of BLE = Bright Line Eating
No Sugar, No Flour, Portions and 3 Meals a day.
So far so good, but it's only 12:00 and lunch is not for another hour...
I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired and fat. I feel gross, I'm squeezing into clothes that are too small so I probably don't look all that awesome = frump.
Some of the things that I suffer from being overweight and eating a poor diet.
Incontinence
Chronic Leg, Hip and Foot Pain
Foul Bowel Syndrome
Dandruff
Headaches
Lack of Energy
Grumpiness/Moodiness
Chemical Dependence on Sugar/Flour
Poor Self Image
Poor Self Worth
Lack of Sex drive
Today I weighed in at 182.8 - my highest weight I ever weighed was 190 on my honeymoon.
My morning started off great, with a quiet time reading starting at 6:15 for about 20 minutes. I wrote out a prayer for the day as well. 7:00 in the shower, left the house at 7:50, got to work at 8:30 and ate breakfast. Lunch will be at 1:00-1:30 and dinner around 6:30 or 7:00.
I am almost done ready the BLE book and I'm really inspired. I did some experiments last week and make the commitment 2 days ago - Saturday to start today.
Last night I wrote out my food for today and a couple points a) my morning routine was much easier, no decisions to be made, just grabbed my breakfast and lunch out of the fridge and headed off to work b) because I basically followed the diet as close as I could over the weekend, I already had much more energy.
I did quit drinking coffee on 9/18 but I did have about 1/3 of a cup on Sunday, just to get rid of the headache that was forming before church. That would have been a painful 2 hours. I didn't have a scale until Sunday evening so I'm sure my portions were not correct either but now on point.
There is candy everywhere and donuts in the break room - but that's Not My Food.
Breakfast = 1 oz dry oatmeal cooked with 3 oz of blueberries, 3 oz of pineapple with 4 oz of fat free cottage cheese. I bought fat free so the cottage cheese would be a protein and not a fat.
Lunch = 4 oz of rotisserie chicken, 2 plums, 6oz of radishes, 2 oz of green olives
Dinner = 4 oz of rotisserie chicken, 8 oz of salad, mixed greens/carrots/tomato, 6 oz celery, 2 oz of blue cheese dressing.

I was so stuffed after dinner, 14 ounces of veggies and salad is a huge portion. But I'm feeling pretty good today. I didn't lose any more weight, but I suspect my body is in shock and in a few days it will start to drop off. I had a heavier breakfast this morning including eggs, This afternoon we are having cake for someone's birthday, but I'm going to need an excuse to leave. I don't want to be in the conference room with everyone else watching them eat it, I don't think I'm ready for that. Maybe I'll run down to the mail box or something.
I do notice that I need a better spiritual practice in the morning. I'm a person of faith, but have never had a great commitment to a morning devotional. Or even an evening one. I'll get working on that.
